Dr Karen McGrath
MICGP MB BCh BAO BMedSc DFFP DRCOG HDipDerm
Dr. Karen McGrath graduated from University College Cork in 1999 and completed her specialist General Practice training in London. She worked in Medicine for the Elderly, Paediatric Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry and in General Practice. She achieved MRCGP qualification in 2005. She was also awarded diplomas in Family-Planning Medicine and in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in London.
Dr. McGrath has been working in Dublin since 2005. She qualified with a Higher Diploma in Dermatology in 2008 and gained MICGP in 2011. In 2018 she achieved the Diploma in Musculoskeletal Examination & Injury Management ICGP & FSEM. She took over the patient list of a retiring GP in Ballymun in July 2011, and moved to new premises in Northwood, Santry in 2014.
Dr. McGrath is registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) and is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP). Dr. McGrath is a trainer on the North Dublin City GP Training scheme since 2013. She is also a Contraceptive tutor.

Dr. Ruth Macauley
MB BCh BAO, MRCGP, DObst RCOG

Dr. Ruth Macauley graduated from University College Dublin in 1998 and completed her specialist General Practice training in Liverpool. Her medical experience includes Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Microbiology, and General Practice. She was awarded Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2005 and holds a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
She has worked in the UK, Northern Ireland, and Dublin since 2005. Dr. Macauley has a special interest in Psychiatry, having spent a year working in the field, and also has a strong focus on Women’s Health within her practice.

Dr David Horan
MB BCH BAO (HONS) LRCP & SI, B.Sc, PG Dip (Health Sci)
Graduated as a Doctor in 2018 from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.
​
Since graduating in 2018 has worked as a Doctor across 11 hospitals in Ireland and Australia, working in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, general surgery, emergency medicine, paediatrics, respiratory, neurology, geriatric medicine, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology.

Prior to medicine Dr David studied and worked as a physio for 6 years, working in division 1 college football, basketball and baseball in Georgia, USA, and then in professional football with Hearts in the Scottish Premier League

Nurse Preenamol Joy

Preena joined Santry GP Clinic in March 2024, bringing compassion, dedication, and clinical excellence to her role.
She graduated with Distinction in General Nursing from Edinburgh Napier University in 2023.
​
Preena is passionate about delivering patient-centred care and is committed to continuous learning and professional development within the primary care setting.
She is a registered smear taker with CervicalCheck and is also qualified in ear irrigation, anaphylaxis management, phlebotomy, and childhood and adult vaccination.

Preena’s broad skill set supports a wide range of essential services at the clinic, enhancing patient safety and comfort in every consultation.
